Fractal dimension of landscape silhouette outlines as a predictor of landscape preference
The aim of this study was to explore the suggestion that fractal characteristics may play a role in aesthetic experiences by providing possible empirical evidence for connections between landscape preference and fractal properties. This approach was motivated by the knowledge that many natural forms are fractal and that, in preference research, naturalness has been found an important predictor....

today, scouring is one of the important topics in the river and coastal engineering so that the most destruction in the bridges is occurred due to this phenomenon. whereas the bridges are assumed as the most important connecting structures in the communications roads in the country and their importance is doubled while floodwater, thus exact design and maintenance thereof is very crucial. f...
The Synthesis of Trees in Chinese Landscape Painting Using Silhouette and Texture Strokes
d for more than three thousand years, Chinese painting emphasizes "implicit meaning", and painters’ using a minimal number of brush strokes to express their deepest feelings. Landscapes of the most important themes in Chinese painting. Trees are the essential painting objects. This resents a set of novel methods to automatically draw trees in Chinese ink painting from 3D al models. Outline rend...
متن کاملSilhouette Mapping
Recent image-based rendering techniques have shown success in approximating detailed models using sampled images over coarser meshes. One limitation of these techniques is that the coarseness of the geometric mesh is apparent in the rough polygonal silhouette of the rendering. In this paper, we present a scheme for accurately capturing the external silhouette of a model in order to clip the app...
متن کاملSilhouette estimation.
Silhouettes arise in a variety of imaging scenarios. Pristine silhouettes are often degraded via blurring, detector sampling, and detector noise. We present a maximum a posteriori estimator for the restoration of parameterized facial silhouettes. Extreme dealiasing and dramatic superresolution, well beyond the diffraction limit, are demonstrated through the use of strong prior knowledge.
